About us
Power-Heat-Set have been supplying the carpet industry with high quality machines and components made in Germany. More than 1000 PHS-machines have been installed in the market and a lot of experience has been gained over the last 50 years.
Two heatsetting machines, the GVA and the HiPerSet, have been developed and continuously improved in-house by our skilled engineers in our headquarters near Munich, Germany. As a result, these machines stand for high quality, reliability and are customized to the individual needs of our highly valued customers. In combination with the new Winder X-Wind Pro, the heatsetting machines form a powerful unit which is perfectly coordinated.
Since 2023 our redesigned Steamatic is also part of the PHS portfolio. This fully automatic inline steaming machine positioned between ring spinning and winding brings advantages in particular especially for our customers in the worsted yarn industry because of its compact and flexible design and because it simplifies significantly the daily workflow.
At ITMA Asia + CITME Singapore, we are proud to demonstrate our new GVA software for the first time. Intuitive, adjustable, interactive – the new control and monitoring software incorporates practical innovations that makes its handling much more comfortable. Whether it’s the chamber, belt or accumulator, you can easily see, adjust and monitor all relevant settings such as the used yarn, heatsetting temperature, speed or tension and so control your GVA more efficiently.

GVA: multi channel heatsetting machine
The GVA is the perfect solution for running high volumes of uniform production efficiently, but also provides the flexibility to run six individual lot sizes whilst offering the ability to process frieze or straight yarn on any position. It utilizes superheated steam with the full capacity of heatsetting natural or synthetic fibers. Our modular system of GVAs (4.0+ / 5.0+ or 8.0+) gives our customers the possibility to choose the machine that meets their individual demands.
HiPerSet: single channel heatsetting machine
The HiPerSet is our single belt solution where different kinds of yarn can be processed. A specific air guide system provides a constant thermal enviromnemt in the complete processing station. A great benefit of the HiPerSet is its easy maintenance and operation as well as its modular design (4.0+ / 8.0+) which allows every customer to choose their ideal machine.
Steamatic
New in the PHS portfolio is the redesigned Steamatic, a fully automatic inline-steaming unit between ring spinning and winding machine. It allows integrated processing of materials that require steaming resp. moistening between spinning and winding. The treatment of the yarn with saturated steam in the negative pressure range achieves a gentle and good reduction of the yarn´s curling tendency (wool, cotton, fiber blends). Between 11 and 31 cops are steamed and dried in precisely controlled vacuum.
Winder X-Wind Pro 1.0
Following the heatsetting process, the winder winds the yarn optimally back onto the packages and communicates independently with the heatsetting unit - two winders for the GVA, one for the HiPerSet. Individual settings (yarn length per package, yarn type, duration of the heatsetting process etc.) allow the winder to be used as required. Up to 20 bobbins can be wound on each of the 3 decks, doffing is automatically initiated.
